Pink stemonitis slime mould macro

A macro focus stack of seven images of the pink fruiting bodies (sporangia) of a slime mould, genus stemonitis, species stemonitis fusca. They are pink at first and later turn brown or black as they mature. I found it on decaying wood, in Hertfordshire, England. This specimen was a few millimetres tall. It can be seen among the moss sporophytes also growing on the log.
